This application note introduces the analysis of polymer compounds using size exclusion chromatography (SEC) with the Vanquish Charged-Aerosol Detector (CAD). The CAD has approximately 100 times the sensitivity compared to a differential refractive index detector (RI) and is a versatile detector capable of accurately detecting semi-volatile and non-volatile components. Its wide dynamic range and excellent stability make it ideal for analyzing molecular weight distributions.
